Portocolom is a locality situated on the east coast of Mallorca island, about 60 kilometers from the capital Palma. The village is named Portocolom in honour of Christopher Columbus and today is one of the more delighful places of Mallorca. It is worth a visit the charming port with its pastel-coloured houses and the lighthouse with blue and white wide stripes. Cala Marcal, the nearest beach of Portocolom, at only one kilometer, is a large beach protected from wind. Other beaches around the area are Cala Sa Nau, S’Arenal Grand and S’Arena.
